The handheld Heat Spy HSI3000 thermal imager from
Wahl Instruments Inc., Asheville, NC, is designed for use as a detection and diagnostic tool for condition monitoring of electrical and mechanical systems; for building diagnostics, such as detecting moisture damage, pest infestation, and insulation integrity; and for energy audits. The camera uses a 160 by 120 uncooled microbolometer array that provides high-resolution real-time thermal images displayed on its 3.5 in. color LCD with LED backlight. Features include 2 measurement cursors, a Class II laser, an SD card to store up to 1000 images, and a USB connection.
