The Model FT2 thermal gas mass flowmeter and temperature transmitter from
Fox Thermal Instruments Inc., Marina, CA, supports RS-422/RS-485 Modbus, Profibus-DP, DeviceNet, and Ethernet communications. The device provides isolated 4–20 mA and pulse outputs for flow rate and 4–20 mA output for process gas temperature. Features include a backlit display, programmable flow and temperature settings, filtering, diagnostics, and alarm limits. You can use a laptop computer and software or a PalmPDA interface to change meter configuration, perform diagnostics, and collect data.
