Suntron Awarded Contract for Real-time Awareness Systems

PHOENIX, AZ /Marketwire/ -- Suntron Corp., a leading provider of integrated electronic manufacturing solutions and computer off-the-shelf (COTS) design solutions with six North American facilities, announced an agreement to manufacture active radio-frequency identification (RFID) systems and asset tracking products for Awarepoint Inc., a leading provider of real-time location asset-tracking systems.

As part of the contract commitment, Suntron will manufacture printed circuit-board assemblies for tags and sensors in its Tijuana, Mexico, facility. Suntron's Tijuana, Mexico facility is a 79,000-sq. ft. facility located minutes from the California border. Suntron's Tijuana operation focuses on high-mix, low-to-medium volume electronic manufacturing services, including quick turn assembly of printed circuit cards, cable and harnesses, wire wrap backplanes, and complete box build.
