The SLP from GE Sensing & Inspection Technologies, Billerica, MA, is a corrosion-resistant submersible level probe that measures hydrostatic pressure and has a measuring range of up to 70 m H2O. Available in gauge and absolute versions, the sensor requires a 10 VDC, 2 mA power supply and provides 0.5% accuracy. It can be immersed in a range of fluids, including hydrocarbons, chemicals, and pesticides, and has an operating temperature range of –40°C to 80°C. Applications include level measurement in single tanks, multipoint level measurement in storage facilities, and environmental monitoring.
