The radio, available as a board-level device or in an enclosure, provides a 60 mile range (with clear LOS), 1 W output power, 6–30 VDC input power, and operates in either Modbus mode (enabling direct connection as an IO peripheral to a SCADA network) or wire-replacement (wireless signal replication) mode. It also provides 4 analog inputs, 2 analog outputs (Modbus mode), 4 digital inputs in wire-replacement mode and 6 in Modbus mode, and 2 digital outputs. Applications include long-range remote control and monitoring of tanks, lifting stations, pumps, flowmeters, fluid levels, and water sources typical of the water/wastewater and oil and gas industries.
