The DT9837B USB DA module from Data Translation Inc., Marlboro, MA, provides 4 simultaneous 24-bit Δ Σ analog inputs and sampling rates up to 105.4 kHz/channel for portable noise and vibration measurement. The module is self-powered via the USB connection to a PC or laptop and features IEPE inputs, including use of a 4 mA current source; data streams matched in time with synchronous tachometer input measurements; single-value and continuous conversion modes; the ability to expand to 16 IEPE channels by using 4 synchronized modules; and optional ±10 V signal sampling ranges with software-selectable programmable gains of 1 and 10.
