SNR MEMS Mics Grace Amazon AVS Development Kit

Reaching for the highest performance and reliability levels, XMOS’s VocalFusion 4-Mic Dev Kit for Amazon Alexa Voice Service (AVS) for far-field applications enlists Infineon’s high SNR microphones. XMOS now offers the first Amazon AVS development kit with a linear mic array for far-field applications. The 4-Mic Development Kit reportedly delivers crystal clear voice capturing in noisy environments. This enables commands to be accurately captured from across the room for processing by the Alexa cloud-based speech recognition system.

Infineon’s microphones provide a SNR figure of 69 dB and employ distinguished microphone to microphone phase and sensitivity matching as well as fast signal conversion for low latency, ensuring a reliable hit rate and extended voice pick-up distance for far-field applications.
