The PXIe-4139 system source measure unit (SMU) can take measurements at 1.8 Msamples/s, reportedly 100X faster than traditional SMUs. The 4139 extends range pulsing capability up to 500W and sensitivity down to 100 fA. It features the company’s SourceAdapt technology to produce optimal SMU response to any load by customizing the SMU control loop. This allegedly protects devices under test and improves system stability. Additionally, the SMU can squeeze up to 17 SMU channels in a 4U 19” rack space.
