Single-Use Flow Sensor Performs Proximal Measurements

Single-Use Flow Sensor Performs Proximal Measurements
Sensirion AG

The SFM3300-D single-use mass flow sensor for gases boasts high accuracy, robustness, and an extremely short signal processing time. The sensor performs proximal flow measurement in medical applications such as ventilation or anesthesia and is also suitable for other applications that require a disposable solution. It is bi-directionally calibrated and measures flow rates up to 250 slm. The special design of the flow channel results in minimal dead space and the slightly increased pressure drop ensures very high stability in varying inlet conditions. Furthermore, the sensor can be connected via medical cones for the pneumatic connection to the respiratory cycle, and has a mechanical interface for a user-friendly electrical connection.
