SI International Wins $14 Million Air Force Contract

RESTON, Va. /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SI International, Inc., an information technology and network solutions (IT) company, announced that it has been awarded a new contract to support Headquarters Air Force Space Command Directorate of Requirements Combatant Commanders Integrated Command and Control Systems (CCIC2S) Branch. The contract was awarded under the Contract Advisory and Assistance Services and Engineering and Technical Assistance contract vehicle, and has a one-year base period with a one-year option period, followed by a six-month option period. The task order's value is approximately $14 million over two and a half years, if all options are exercised.

SI International will provide life-cycle planning, management, and engineering and technical assistance to Headquarters North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and Air Force Space Command (AFSPC) for defining, developing, fielding, testing, and sustaining their next-generation Command and Control (C2) capabilities, to include space, air missile, and command and control elements. Additionally, the company will provide its industry-leading DoD Architecture Framework–compliant enterprise architectures, which use state-of-the-art object-oriented/unified modeling language technology.

SI International's work under this contract will be performed at Headquarters AFSPC, Peterson AFB, Colo., and at SI International's new Colorado Springs, Colo., campus. Since 1996, SI International has served as a technical support contractor for the military space community, which includes AFSPC and NORAD. In addition to C2 modernization support, SI International provides life-cycle systems engineering and technical assistance (SETA) support for AFSPC space-based sensors systems, global-positioning satellite systems, and satellite communications programs.
