Sensors Magazine Launches a Family of E-mail Newsletters

Sensors Expands Editorial Platform by Introducing New E-mail Newsletters

NEWTON, Mass., February 6, 2006 – Sensors, since 1994 the premier publication dedicated to sensors and sensor-related technologies, unveiled a new family of e-mail newsletters: Sensors Daily, Industrial Automation, Wireless & M2M, and Product Picks.

Delivered to product and systems design engineers, production engineers, and managers, each of the e-newsletters is designed to serve specific audiences, needs, and interests among the readership of Sensors and beyond.

Sensors Daily

Delivered each workday, Sensors Daily delivers the day’s top news along with the editor’s insights on the use and development of sensors.

Industrial Automation

A monthly e-newsletter that addresses the use of sensors in industrial settings—both manufacturing and raw materials processing, Sensors’ Industrial Automation recaps and analyzes important developments, showcases interesting technologies and applications, and reports key product releases, needed for success in industrial settings.  Hosted by Ray Peacock, an industrial physicist with many years of instrumentation experience on both sides of the industry.

Wireless & M2M

This monthly e-newsletter covers the hottest and most dynamic set of technologies in sensing today.  Hosted by wireless sensor networking specialist Wayne Manges, the publication provides insight on the rapidly developing standards and technologies, news and products, Q&A with WINA (the Wireless Industrial Networking Alliance), and application stories and other in-depth articles.

Product Picks

Engineers spend much of their time searching for sensors to help solve their challenges—and they need to keep abreast of key product introductions. Every other week, Senior Editor Melanie Martella presents her “top picks”: the most interesting new sensors and related products in various categories. Sensors Product Picks was launched in 1998 as Sensors Express, and now it’s been updated and improved.

“These newsletters are designed to help engineers and managers make sense of developments so that they can more effectively use sensors to solve problems,” said Sensors editor in chief Barbara G. Goode.
