Elkem Silicones has introduced a new faster curing silicone solution for sensor protection that can dramatically improve productivity. With as little as a 4-hour cure time, Bluesil ESA 7246 enables faster processing versus other silicone products currently available on the market that typically require up to 36 hours to cure at room temperature. The solution is a high clarity two-part flexible cure chemistry for water proofing, battery and sensor protection.
Elkem Silicones also offers a self-bonding potting and encapsulation solution, Bluesil ESA 7247, to protect sensors against the harshest environmental conditions. This highly durable product provides excellent sealing and protection of electronics from extreme environmental conditions, moisture and high stress thermal cycles in critical devices. This solution also offers flexible cure chemistry allowing the option to cure at lower temperatures without sacrificing adhesion. Bluesil ESA 7247 is a semi-thermally conductive material that can shield electronic components to ensure intellectual property protection of important electronic components.
Elkem Silicones will feature its range of sensor solutions, which includes high temperature resistance, dielectric strength and thermal management for lightweight applications, at the Sensors Expo 2018 in San Jose, Calif., June 26-28. In partnership with Scheugenpflug, a provider of exact material dispensing solutions, Elkem Silicones will showcase a live dispensing demonstration of Bluesil® ESA 7246 on a Li-ion battery powered LED light at booth 1130.
Additionally, the Elkem Silicones CAF® and CAF® AXAD product ranges offer convenient, easy-to-use, one-part systems and fast-cure two-part systems with aggressive adhesion packages and high thermal resistance.
