Sensor Signal Conditioner from ZMD

The ZSSC3170 from ZMD AG, Dresden, Germany, is a single-chip sensor signal conditioner IC for resistive bridge sensors that also incorporates a robust LIN transceiver. The device operates on supply voltages from 7–18 V and over a –40°C to 125°C temperature range (or extended up to 150°C); has ±0.25% F.S. accuracy over a –20°C to 85°C temperature range, ±0.50 % F.S. accuracy at –40°C to 125°C, and ±1.00% F.S. accuracy at –40°C to 150°C; and the integrated LIN transceiver meets 1.3, 2.0, and 2.1 LIN specifications. The device can be calibrated in-system where coefficients are stored in onchip automotive-grade EEPROM. Automotive applications include air conditioning, level measurement, and seat adjustment.
