The P4055 from Kavlico, Moorpark, CA, is a sealed gauge pressure sensor that can be used to control the precise amount of pressure exerted on the disks used to create furrows for planting corn. As part of the pneumatic planting system, the sensor measures the reservoir, downward, and lifting pressures of the planting unit. The sensor provides a 0.5–4.5 VDC output proportional to the pressure being measured. Features include a piezoresistive sense element, 200 psi measuring range, full temperature compensation, an operating temperature range of –20°C to 100°C, tolerance for shock and vibration, and superior EMI/RFI performance.
