Sage Analytics Luminary Beacon Wins Excellence in Design Award

ST. LOUIS --- Sage Analytics announces that its Luminary Beacon device won the Excellence in Design Gold Award (highest honor) from Appliance Design. The company worked with Metaphase Design Group to develop an attractive, lightweight, fully functional cannabis potency testing system, utilizing optical spectroscopy – a highly accurate, FDA-approved technology in use by top pharmaceutical companies, most often in large, industrial applications.

Through careful design and engineering, the teams at Sage Analytics and Metaphase Design Group were able to produce the world's first award-winning portable cannabis potency analysis device in a sleek unit that looks beautiful and performs with both speed and accuracy. An elegant touchscreen interface allows users to quickly analyze both cannabis and extracts, while an innovative vacuum formed disposable cup helps to keep the analyzer lens clean and minimizes extract waste.

The Appliance Design's Excellence in Design competition recognizes outstanding achievements in innovation, design and functionality in products created for both consumers and businesses.

A prestigious panel of judges from respected industry associations evaluate entries in ten industry categories for innovation, simplicity, strong functionality for the user, and other considerations including optimized capabilities, environmental footprint, and energy- and cost-savings. Deserving entries may receive Bronze, Silver, or Gold awards for products the judges deem worthy of such recognition.
