Murata Americas has expanded its DE series line of safety standard certified ceramic capacitors that includes the X1/Y1 class. The AC400V and AC500V rated products have high impulse tolerance making them viable for use in large-scale equipment such as solar cell generating systems and factory automation machinery. In addition, the DE Series also includes capacitors with 250 Vac and 300 Vac ratings and are small in size, making them well-suited for smaller applications like LED drivers and mobile phone chargers. One of the most significant benefits of safety standard certified capacitors is that they eliminate noise that originates in commercial AC power lines. The DE series can be used both between power lines and between chassis and power lines.
