The eloFlex system from elobau sensor technology inc., Gurnee, IL, lets you choose between NO/NC sensors and emergency-stop types, as well as NO/NC input types for the controller's 4 inputs. You can also monitor 24 V PNP outputs. For NO/NC input types, the order in which the two contacts are actuated is not taken into account. The control unit has 4 outputs where one or more of the 4 input sensors can be assigned via a selectable logic gate. A delay time of 0–99.9 s can be set in 100 ms steps for each safety output. Other features include an output for error messages, separate inputs for monitoring external gates, a unique part number for each unit, and company-provided programming and validation of the required configuration as well as testing its functionality.
