PG Series LVDT linear position sensors from Alliance Sensors Group, a div. of H.G. Schaevitz LLC, Moorestown, NJ, are designed for valve position sensing for steam turbine control systems in electric power generation plants. Available in 5 F.S. ranges from 0–3 in. to 0–15 in., the sensors are offered in PGHD heavy duty (with 1 1/16 in. body dia.) and PGSD super-duty (with 1 5/16 in. body dia.) models. Features include cores that cannot break loose from the core's connecting/operating rod; 2 double-contact shaft seals to prevent contaminants from entering the LVDT's bore; continuous operation in ambient temperatures to 175°C; screw clamping terminals; a 2 yr. warranty; and a built-in over-temperature indicator.
