The Model ST131 from Acromag Inc., Wixom, MI, is an ASIC-driven RTD signal conditioner that converts the input signal from any 100 ohm platinum RTD or 0–900 ohm input to an accurate, loop-powered 4–20 mA output. The Form B, head-mount instrument provides sensor excitation, signal linearization, lead-wire compensation, sensor fault detection, a fully analog signal path, and support for digital calibration for programming of ranges, over/underscale thresholds, and fail-safe settings. The Model ST131 operates in temperatures from –40°C to 80°C and features electrical noise immunity, surge protection, and pending CE and UL/cUL Class 1, Div. 2, Zone 2 approvals.
