The DST500 temperature indicator and DSX500 transmitter thermometers from Wahl Instruments Inc., Asheville, NC, are digital RTD thermometers for applications that require accurate and reliable temperature monitoring and transmitting. Both devices offer an LCD and are available in a variety of standard and custom-built probe configurations including MIG standard tapered bulb for drop-in direct MIG replacement. Total system accuracy is ±0.2°C over a 1 yr. period and temperature range is –200°C to 800°C. The DST500 includes a field-replaceable battery with a 2 yr. operation life. The DSX500 is loop-powered from an integral 4–20 mA transmitter.
