The PTAM5 from ASM Sensors Inc., Elmhurst, IL, is a MEMS-based dual-axis inclinometer designed for outdoor use in harsh environments. The single-axis version has a ±180° measurement range while the dual-axis version's measurement range is ±60°. Both models are available for smaller measurement ranges in ±15° increments. Resolution is 0.05° with ±0.5° linearity. Outputs are 4–20 mA, 10 V, CANOpen, or CAN SAE J1939. Applications include off-highway equipment, windmills, and offshore locations.
