(New York, NY – February 29, 2016) – Rising Media, Inc. revealed program details for its RoboUniverse Conference & Expo, taking place on April 11-12, 2016 at the Javits Convention Center in New York City.

Launched in New York City in May 2015, RoboUniverse is the first global conference and trade show series dedicated to advancing the Service Robotics industry. Following its 2015 launch, RoboUniverse has produced events in Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai, San Diego, and Singapore.

RoboUniverse New York is organized around four primary themes, featuring dedicated content tracks covering Cognitive Science & IoT, Drones for Business, Manufacturing & Logistics, and Robots for Enterprise.

Session topics include:

  • The Neurobiotics Connection: Connecting the Physical World to our Human Brain
  • Women in Frontier Technology
  • Robots as a Service (RaaS)
  • AI, Robotics, and Drones – The Real Story on The Future of Jobs
  • Investing in Robotics, Drones, and Related Software

“The meaning of the word ‘Robot’ is being redefined, and it is redefining our lives. It no longer includes just the market for Industrial Robotics, but also the financially expanding frontier of related technologies. In addition to Industrial Robotics, RoboUniverse will also be covering the key trends in co-operative robotics (co-bots), flying robots (drones), sensors, and the cognitive sciences (AI). All of this disruptive technology will include applications across diverse industries like manufacturing, healthcare, services, construction, education, disaster response, environmental sensing, and more,” said Fran Rabuck, Conference Chairman, RoboUniverse.

“RoboUniverse is the only all-in-one conference merging all these trends into one event of top notch speakers and exhibits,” he continued.

RoboUniverse also announced the Frontier Tech Showdown, which combines the RoboGameChanger and the Inside 3D Printing startup competitions to bring together top startups in 3D printing, robotics, and virtual reality. The winner of this competition will be awarded a $15,000 Uncapped SAFE courtesy of Asimov Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm investing in 3D printing and robotics. The competition takes place on April 12 and is sponsored by Asimov Ventures.

RoboUniverse New York will be co-located with Rising Media’s Inside 3D Printing Conference & Expo and Virtual Reality Summit.
