The 1210C Series of ring-style charge-output force sensors from Dytran Instruments Inc., Chatsworth, CA, can be preloaded and used as force links for tension and compression measurements. The sensors resemble washers and are designed to measure rapid or slowly changing dynamic forces in machines and in other applications. The sensors can measure vibratory compressive forces over a wide frequency range, pulsing forces from punch and forming presses, and other repetitive force applications. Seven measuring ranges are available from 5000 lbf. to 100,000 lbf. with –18 pC/lbf. sensitivity (nominal). O.D.s are from 0.65–2.95 in. and i.d. ranges from 0.26–1.61 in. Sensors have a throughhole mount, 10-32 axial connector, a hermetic seal, and SS construction.
