Contrinex Inc., Old Saybrook, CT, offers high-performance M18 photoelectric sensors with an integral right-angle prism for more reliable conveyor control. The sensors have a rugged, M18 metal housing, are sealed to IP67, have high shock resistance, and are offered in diffuse, background suppression, retroreflective, and throughbeam sensor formats. Operating voltage range is 10–30 VDC. Sensors can switch a 200 mA output current and have a sensing range stable from –25°C to 55°C. They use pulsed, high-intensity, visible red light and include diagnostics. Units are designed to be flush-mounted onto a conveyor side looking across the belt or rollers.
