SCHURTER’s reflowable thermal switch (RTS) is described as a particularly compact device for thermal protection. Due to their inherent self-reinforcing heat-producing behavior, power semiconductors such as MOSFETs, ICs, IGBTs, TRIACs, SCRs, etc. can overheat and lead to thermal runaway.
