FLIR Systems’ RT50 is a GFCI and standard receptacle tester designed for those who need to verify or troubleshoot operation of three-wire receptacle circuits within residential and commercial buildings. The unit features a durable, ergonomic design, and smarter testing capabilities to quickly identify wiring issues and confirm correct wiring.
It is a plug-and-play pocket tool that users can plug into three-wire receptacles in 110-125 V AC circuits, GFCI outlets, and standard outlets wired in parallel. Additionally, it can plug into a series, for instance, multiple outlets in kitchens and bathrooms.
A LED indicator informs the user that a circuit or outlet is wired correctly. Users can confidently identify up to five possible wiring issues quickly, including:
- Open Ground
- Open Neutral
- Open Hot
- Hot & Ground Reversed
- Hot & Neutral reverse
