The MicroGyro from Systron Donner Automotive, Concord, CA, is a quartz angular-rate sensor that uses a double-ended tuning fork design to achieve high precision while withstanding high temperatures up to 125°C. Measuring range is ±300° with 0.025°/s/LSB resolution. The sensor features continuous built-in test, low offset error, and fully compensated 3.3 or 5.0 V SPI digital output. Applications include electronic stability control, lane keeping systems, and rollover airbag systems.
