MKS Instruments Inc., Wilmington, MA, is a quality monitoring system to control injection molding equipment used in manufacturing medical devices and other high-accuracy industrial applications. The system mounts to existing machines and evaluates part quality in real time, catching short shots, double shots, flash, and overall process drift. It provides DA, fault detection and control functions, and uses multivariate analysis software. A Web browser interface allows you to configure and analyze data; you can archive results on local network storage servers.
