Designed for applications with compute-intensive or parallel processing requirements, the GX7944 from Geotest - Marvin Test Systems Inc., Irvine, CA, is a PXI Express controller based on the Intel Core 2 Duo, 2.16 GHz processor. The controller provides an aggregate PXIe bus bandwidth of up to 1 GBps. The single-slot, 3U controller is designed for use with the company's GX7600 PXI Express chassis and features multiple I/O connections, including USB, Gigabit Ethernet, and VGA; 2 GB of RAM; 2 USB ports; and a 4x1 PCI Express bus configuration. When combined with the embedded storage peripherals of the chassis, it provides a compact, high-performance, integrated PXI Express chassis/controller combination. Applications include ATE, DA, process control, production test, and R&D.
