LS1 Series linear position sensors from Novotechnik U.S. Inc., Southborough, MA, are based on the company's Novopad noncontact inductive technology, are insensitive to magnetic fields, and have no mechanical sensor track. Measurement range is 25—100 mm (return-spring version) and 25—200 mm (rod-only version). Resolution is to 0.05% and repeatability is to <0.05%. Output options include 0.1—10 V, 4—20 mA, 10—0.1 V, and 20—4 mA. You can program the end-points; the output range (same as, or independent of, actual travel length), and current and voltage output levels.
