Baumer Ltd.

Baumer Ltd., Southington, CT, offers 4 families of optical or magnetic incremental encoders that can be programmed using either PC software or mechanical DIP switches. The encoders allow both impulse count and rotational direction to be programmed. PC-programmable encoders include the compact, optical ITD2P programmable to an impulse count of 4096 in increments of one, TTL or HTL output circuit, zero index width/position, and index; the optical BGF/BHG encoders offer high resolution and angular accuracy to ±40 in, and impulse count programmable between 2048–320,000 impulses; and the EcoMag BRIH/BRID/BRIV magnetic encoders with high shock and vibration resistance. The BHK/BVK optical encoders are programmed using DIP switches.
