G4 process control instruments from Vishay Intertechnology Inc., Malvern, PA, are compatible with Profibus, DeviceNet, Modbus TCP, Ethernet, RS-485, RS-232, and USB and are for process weighing control, force measurement, web tension and control, automation, force vector calculations, and high-speed batching/blending. The units have a modular structure and are offered in DIN rail, panel, desktop, and harsh-environment versions. Update rates are up to 800/s and sample rates are up to 20 kHz. Other features include up to 8 synchronized measurement channels, true vector calculation, and integrated digital I/O.
