Pressure Sensor Handles Harsh Liquids

Pressure Sensor Handles Harsh Liquids
American Sensor Technologies (AST) Inc.

The Model AST 4530 submersible liquid level pressure sensor measures the level of harsh liquids such as slurries, salt water, and oil in vented or sealed tanks. Made of PVDF material with a PTFE diaphragm, the sensor features a submersible PVDF cable, cord grip, and housing plus a conduit connection for turbulent installations. It also works where fluid is reflective has foam or is clear. Offering a cost-effective alternative to ultrasonic and radar sensor technologies, the AST4530 also features a fast response time, CSA certification to Class I Div 1, Groups C and D for use in intrinsically safe areas with an approved barrier, and voltage and 4- to 20-mA output signals. A list of chemicals that the AST4530 can operate in is at http://www.astsensors.com/files/pdf/Liquid-Gas-Compatibility-Chart-AST4530.pdf.
