For taking acoustic measurements in spaces where traditional microphone systems won't fit or where overall space is limited, the Model 426A07 preamplifier, Model 426A07 measures 29.5 mm in length and 38.1mm long when combined with any of the company’s 0.25-in. microphone cartridge. The preamp converts a high impedance signal from a measurement microphone into a low impedance signal. It mates with any PCB 0.25-in. free-field, random incidence (diffuse field) and pressure microphone cartridges to test high frequencies ranging from 20 Hz to 20 kHz up to ultrasonic frequencies greater than 100 kHz and high amplitude measurements past the threshold of pain up to 194 dB.
