The KMXP series magneto-resistive contactless position sensors in a 2 mm x 6 mm x 0.75 mm DFN package promise to precisely measure linear displacement, movements, torque, and velocities in dirty and harsh environments typical found in vehicle, engine, automation, and general industrial applications. Operating temperature ranges up to +150°C and resolution is better than 0.001° (19-bit). Small wall thickness allows for large air gaps, up to half of the sensor’s respective pole pitch. Both incremental and absolute position detection is possible and output is sine/cosine at 10 mV/V.
