The PT420 absolute linear position sensor offers full-scale measurement ranges from 2” to 100” and two output signals: two-wire 4 mA to 20 mA and three-wire 0 to 20 mA. The cable-actuated PT420 provides high accuracy and fine resolution without perfect parallel alignment for easy implementation. Multiple cable tension and electrical connection options, combined with the large full stroke ranges are available. A classic string pot design makes the sensor suitable for numerous industrial automation and testing applications. The PT420 uses a potentiometer that provides an essentially infinite output resolution. Repeatability is ±0.05% full stroke with an accuracy of ±0.15% full stroke for most ranges.
