Position Sensor Directly Replaces Magnetostrictive Cylinders

Position Sensor Directly Replaces Magnetostrictive Cylinders
Alliance Sensors Group

Suitable for use in measuring the ram position of hydraulic and large pneumatic cylinders, the MR Series linear position sensors are drop-in form, fit, and function replacements for port-mounted magnetostrictive sensors. Of note, they promise to be more robust in construction and provide a lower cost of ownership than the components they replace. Features include no magnet requirements, measurement ranges from 100 mm to 900 mm, operation up to 5,000 psi or 10,000 feet (3,000m) depth, SAE J1926-8 or ISO 6149-1 (M18) male o-ring port, IEC IP-67 aluminum or stainless steel housings, contactless operation, operating temperatures up to +85ºC operation (+105ºC optional), dc voltage or current analog output, and SenSet field adjustable scaling.
