To provide continuous and accurate positioning in urban environments where global navigation satellite system (GNSS) signals are obscured, intermittent, or distorted, the ATLANS-C position and orientation system integrates iXBlue’s fiber-optic gyroscope (FOG) based inertial navigation system (INS) and Septentrio’s multi-constellation GNSS receiver technologies. The pairing of these two technologies allegedly yields a reliable, easy-to-integrate INS-GNSS mobile mapping system. ATLANS-C has no ITAR components inside, allowing for rapid global export, and is available today with a six-week lead time.
