Portable Spectrometer Delivers Benchtop Accuracy


Promising light-measurement data ranging from NIR to UV across a spectral range from 200 nm to 1,050 nm with lab-level accuracy, the GL SPECTIS 5.0 portable spectrometer specifies a resolution of 0.5 nm. It integrates an OSR system for stray light reduction and is compatible with a wide array of integrating spheres and probes for measuring almost any light source from 1 lux to 200,000lux (Illuminant A). Other features include a 2048 pixel CCD image sensor with a 16-bit ADC, integrated 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, and computer-free measurements. With optional GL SPECTRO SOFT, users can create custom measurement setups via the USB or Wi-Fi connection. Additionally, the unit measures 111 mm x 210 mm x 58 mm and weighs 1.5 kg.
