The TFXP portable transit-time flowmeter from Dynasonics, Racine, WI, is for long- or short-term flow measurement surveys on full-pipe liquid systems involving liquids containing moderate amounts of suspended solids or aeration. The flowmeter uses two transducers which function as ultrasonic transmitters and receivers and are clamped onto the outside of a closed pipe at a specific distance from each other. The device measures piping systems 12 mm and higher and features a keypad, 24 hr. rechargeable battery, optional removable data logger, backlit display, and a watertight enclosure.
