CAS DataLoggers’ mobile energy-measurement cases acquire digital impulses from electricity, gas, and water meters and are particularly suitable for fault data acquisition, vibration analysis, and quality assurance applications. They feature an integrated three-phase power unit for measuring power from motors, pumps, drives, etc. Acquiring energy data from PLC or control systems is via field bus interfaces such as PROFIBUS or ModBus. The energy measurement case is configurable via LAN and can then function independently. The case can also be equipped with a UMTS modem to enable wireless operation for remote monitoring applications. An option is available for using high-speed analog inputs enabling process analysis from raw energy measurement data. Other case features include various analog and digital I/O modules supporting a plethora of signal types including voltage, 4- to 20-mA current, thermocouple, RTD, and resistance.
