The compact, 20 kN version of the CFW Series from HBM, Marlborough, MA, is a piezoelectric force washer with a 14.5 mm dia. and 7 mm height. Because the sensor's sensitivity does not depend on the nominal force, it is recommended for measurements in the partial load ranges where greater resolution is required. Features include symmetrical design for good linearity, simple mounting, high rigidity, and small displacement. Applications include monitoring assembly and compression processes and for dynamic test applications.
