Groomed for demanding apps in demanding terrains, the M18-4 self-contained photoelectric sensors feature IP69K-rated 316 stainless steel housings, making them suitable for harsh industrial environments where abrasive chemicals and ingress fluid are present. Built with Advanced ASIC technology, the dc-operated sensors are also resistant to fluorescent light and offer a high level of crosstalk avoidance. Featuring a powerful and bright visible red emitter beam, alignment and set-up is fairly easy. To accommodate diverse applications, the M18-4 is available in opposed, polarized and non-polarized retroreflective, diffuse and fixed-field sensing modes. Diffuse models offer a 250º sensitivity potentiometer. Additionally, operating temperature range is -40ºC to +70ºC.
