The DF paddle-wheel flow sensor offers seven material combinations, allowing it to be used with compatible water-based, low-viscosity liquids and many aggressive water-based chemicals. The flow sensor employs permanent magnets embedded within a rotating paddle wheel. A Hall-Effect sensor detects the frequency of the magnet passing and provides an output which is directly proportional to the flow rate. It is supplied standard with an NPN pulse frequency output.
