Suitable for use in intrinsically safe circuits and certified for extreme/harsh environments, the ATEX optocoupler targets oil-and-gas production, refinery, fracking, bio energy, mining, geothermal, medical, test and measurement, and similar applications. Features include galvanic separation between input and output circuits, an isolation resistance between input/output is up to 10e+13 Ω, magnetic fields do not impact operation, a photodiode for very short cycle times (nanoseconds) with more than 10MHz possible, and input/output differences up to 20 kV. Also, the optocoupler is able to invert the output signal during transfer.
