Corrsys-Datron Sensorsystems Inc., Farmington Hills, MI, a Kistler Group company, offers the Correvit S-HR noncontact optical sensor designed to make high-dynamic and high-accuracy slip and sideslip angle measurements for vehicle testing. Working range is 250 ±50 mm over speeds of 0.5–250 km/h. The sensor offers accuracy of better than ±0.2%, and an unfiltered angle accuracy within the range of ±15° of ±0.1° with 0.01° resolution. The high-resolution, low-noise angle signal is displayed via CANbus, analog, digital, USB, or RS-232C outputs. Signal update rate is 250 Hz. Applications include slip-free transversal vehicle dynamics measurements, such as sideslip angle.
