Optical Components Now Feature Visible Zero Degree Antireflection

BARRINGTON, NJ (from release) — Edmund Optics has added to its TECH SPEC family of optical components a visible 0° antireflection coating option. The coating features an average reflectance (Ravg) of less than 0.4% over the spectral band from 425 to 675 nm. It enhances Edmunds’ plano-convex, plano-concave, double-convex, double-concave, and achromatic lines:

  • The plano convex line offers effective focal lengths ranging from 4 mm to 750 mm (1% efl tolerance) for diameters ranging from 4 mm to 25 mm.
  • The plano-concave line offers effective focal lengths ranging from -12 mm to -100 mm (1% efl tolerance) for diameters ranging from 12 mm to 25 mm.
  • The double-convex line offers effective focal lengths ranging from 4.5 mm to 400 mm (1% efl tolerance) for diameters ranging from 4.5 mm to 25 mm.
  • The double-concave line offers effective focal lengths ranging from -6 mm to -100 mm (1% efl tolerance) for diameters ranging from 6 mm to 25 mm.
  • The line of acromats offers effective focal lengths ranging from 10 mm to -150 mm (2% efl tolerance) for diameters ranging from 6.25 mm to 30 mm.

Because Edmund applies all coatings in-house, the company also offers a range of custom coating capabilities.
