The Type K3880A KiDAU Advanced high-performance onboard DA system from Kistler Instrument Corp., Novi, MI, is designed to exceed SAEJ211, SAEJ1939, ISO6487, and other passenger and military vehicle crash test, legislative, safety, and vehicle dynamics testing requirements. The system offers 32 analog and 16 digital inputs and a CAN bus logging channel, with a programmable input amplifier, bridge excitation circuitry, low-pass filtering, and 16-bit ADC for each analog channel. The system allows for 529 s of total recording time (32 channels at 20 kHz) and provides up to 20 mA constant current excitation, up to 18 V excitation voltage, high signal bandwidth, and programmable gain. Support for multiple sensing types is supported; data transfer is via 100Base-TX Ethernet using TCP/IP with support for wireless LAN, USB, and in-dummy ATD interfaces.
