OmniVision Optical Sensor Drives High-Performance USB Camera

e-con Systems Inc. unveils its See3CAM_81 8-Mpixel autofocus USB 3.0 camera, based on the 1/3.2-in, OV8865, an 8-Mpixel CMOS image sensor from OmniVision. The camera streams uncompressed video at 720p at 60 fps (HD), 1080p at 30 fps (cropped), and 8 Mpixels at 11 fps in YUY2 formats over USB 3.0 interface. It features high performance Image signal processor (ISP) that provides impressive high and low-light images, making the camera suitable for users designing kiosk, multimedia applications, high resolution OCR, barcode scanning applications and medical and scientific applications such as tissue vision, pathology examination and microscopic applications. The See3CAM_81 is currently available for evaluation.
