The Base (VB-2000) Family of OEM controllers is now cloud-communications enabled with the company’s VersaCloud M2M platform. Programmed using the no-cost EZ Ladder Toolkit in Ladder Diagram, Function Block, and Structured Text, and based on P-Series PLC on a Chip™ technology, the VB-2xxx family provides maximum flexibility for interfacing to and controlling equipment, communicating with various serial bus protocols, logging system data, or adding Internet of Things (IoT) and Telematics capability to existing systems. Featuring open-board construction, the VB-2xxx is mounted using a standard DIN rail and has 12 digital inputs, three high-speed counter inputs, eight digital outputs rated for 2A each (PWM capable), seven analog inputs which are user configurable as 0-5V, 0-10V, or 0-20mA inputs, and 1 analog output that is user configurable as 0-10V or 0-20mA. Additional digital and analog I/O, including thermocouple inputs may be added using plug-in expansion boards. The VB-2XXX controllers feature one RS232 serial port, one RS485 serial port and each supports MODBUS RTU/ASCII protocols as either a Master or a Slave device.
